Leadership

Orion Billing is led by founder and CEO Kat Jordan, whose career in financial services spans more than 30 years. Drawing on a background in small business finance and hands-on experience (and plenty of blood, sweat and tears) in the complex world of medical billing, Kat has built Orion around a simple goal: to help doctors succeed.

A self-proclaimed “information nerd,” Kat has a passion for learning and research — digging into the underlying fine details until she uncovers real answers and solutions.

When she’s not leading her team to battle with insurance companies, Kat enjoys volunteering with her son’s Scouts troop, creating art, and staying active in the Florida sunshine.

What is Orion?

Orion (oh-rye-in) is one of the most recognizable constellations in the night sky. Named after a hunter in Greek mythology, Orion has long served as a guide for travelers — a reminder of direction, strength, perseverance, and hope. Across cultures, the figure of Orion has stood for resilience in the face of challenge. We chose the name Orion to reflect those same values: aiming higher, persisting through obstacles, and helping to light the way forward.
